Tutorial: How We Write an Archive Entry

Every clue collected by the Observation Bureau must be archived, and the format is something that comes with practice. This guide covers "how to write," not "what to write."

• 8 illustrated lessons: How to fill out the five fields—time, location, individuals, items, and areas of uncertainty.
• 3 blank templates: Clue card / Field report / Handover form (ready for printing).
• Before-and-after comparisons: Two ways of writing about the same event and where the differences lie.

Who this is for

Those who love to document things, field researchers, and anyone who has submitted contributions to the Observation Bureau.
