Refund policy

The shop has four sections, each with its own delivery and refund rules. Please read the “Delivery” and “Notes” parts of a product page before ordering.

1. Digital content (library / guides / study sheets)

  • Delivery: ebooks (UV-B-), archived guides (UV-C-) and object study sheets (UV-P-) are digital files, sent by email or download link as promised at the time you order; the deadline for an ebook is stated on its product page (3 business days for titles that are already written).
  • No refunds: digital content cannot be taken back once delivered, so a delivered order is not refundable.
  • When we refund in full: if a file is damaged, will not open, is the wrong item or does not match what you bought — and if we fail to deliver on time. In the case of an ebook, we also add one title that is already written, chosen by the Bureau, worth no less than the one you bought.

2. Tasks (UV-T-)

  • Taking a task is a sign-up, not a payment, so there is nothing to refund. The bounty is charged as stated on the product page once the work is done; any time beyond the agreed session is quoted and confirmed with you first.
  • For anything involving personal safety, gas leaks or electrical faults, call the emergency services or a professional first. The Observatory does not handle those cases and promises no outcome.

3. Task publication deposit (UV-D-)

  • The ¥50 deposit covers review and scheduling. If the listing is approved, it counts towards that task’s bounty. If it is not approved (incomplete information, content that breaks the rules, someone else’s privacy, anything unlawful), it is refunded to the original payment method.

4. Support (UV-S-)

  • Support is voluntary giving: it includes no goods, no service, no permissions and no promised outcome, and it is not refundable.
  • Observer year card: refundable before it is issued, not refundable after. See the product page for how and when it is issued.

5. In general

  • Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually arrive within 1–5 business days, depending on the payment provider.
  • Reading the archive, the forum and the submission desk are free forever and involve no payment or refund.
