FAQ
Archive Information
What does "Paranormal Awakening" mean?
That is the site's world-building premise: urban legends are coming true one by one, rules are beginning to take effect, and the Observatory is responsible for documenting them. "Morning Star" is what the Observatory calls itself—as paranormal phenomena awaken, we are the Morning Stars. This is the creative context, not an assertion about reality.
Are these stories real?
They fall into three categories: those with verifiable public reports or historical records (some historical mysteries), those that have circulated for years but cannot be verified (most urban legends), and those claimed to be firsthand experiences by contributors (included as-is and marked as "Contribution"). Every archive entry specifies its source and type; do not mistake "someone said so" for "proven fact."
Why does the Earth map drill down level by level?
Because saying "a place is haunted" is meaningless at the provincial level. Archives only appear at the most specific geographic level: Continent → Country → Province/State → Region. This prevents multiple records for the same city from overlapping and makes it easier for you to browse by your hometown.
Why are there only 32 entries?
Because quality beats quantity. We strive to clearly state the location, time, and source of rumors for each entry rather than just padding the numbers.
Submissions
How do I submit a story?
Go to the "Submission" page and fill in: the location, the type, the details of what you heard or experienced, and the name you wish to be credited with. You may remain anonymous or use the same identity to continue discussions on the forum.
Will my submission be edited?
We do three things: remove information that could identify real individuals (house numbers, real names, contact details), tag it as "Fictional" or "Contribution," and correct obvious typos; everything else remains as-is.
Forum
Are there any rules for posting?
Three bottom lines: Do not post real personal information, do not provide specific directions that include house numbers for site visits, and do not promote faith healing, life-changing services, or charging fees for apprenticeships. The full forum rules are in the "Site Announcements" section.
Why isn't my post showing up?
The community currently does not require pre-moderation. If your post is buried or deleted, it is likely because it violated one of the three rules above or contained your WeChat ID or phone number.
Others
What's in the Task Bar?
The Task Bar is where the Observatory lists external items: Props (duty equipment, delivered digitally, available immediately upon payment), Tutorials (self-study), and Commissioned Tasks. Once accepted, they go into your inventory and can be settled in batches. Physical items will be listed once the Observatory calculates the shipping costs; the Paranormal Earth, archives, and forum will always be free and remain unaffected.
Can I repost the content?
Yes, provided you cite the source and include a link; please ensure that any content marked as "Fictional" retains that label.
What if there is an error or a copyright issue?
Send an email to foolkingluo@gmail.com with the subject line [Correction] or [Delete Post]. For issues involving copyright or privacy, we will take the content down first and verify it afterward.
