Fuxian Lake Underwater Ancient City · The City Submerged at the Lake Bottom

Large-scale man-made architectural ruins have been discovered underwater in Fuxian Lake, with stonework arranged in a regular pattern, believed to be potentially linked to the ancient Dian Kingdom civilization.

The lake reaches depths of over 150 meters, with extremely low underwater visibility. Divers have described instances where instrument readings would briefly malfunction while navigating between the structures.

A long-standing rule among local fishermen is: do not cast nets in the middle of the lake, and do not call out a companion’s name on a foggy morning—the reply from the fog may not come from a person.
