Skinwalker Ranch · The Land That Was Bought to Be Studied

For decades, the same kinds of reports came out of a ranch in Utah: cattle found with their organs removed and no tracks in the ground around them, large animals that matched no known species, lights moving over the fields, cameras and instruments failing at the moment they were needed.

In 1996 a businessman bought the property outright and turned it into a research site, with sensors, night vision and staff on watch. Further teams have taken over the work since. Nothing has been explained, and nothing has been withdrawn.

The ranch is still closed to the public. The only sign at the gate says: private land.

Bureau note: it was bought to be studied. That is the part nobody expected.
