Daren Hall at Chinese Culture University · The elevator to the non-existent floor
Share
Located on Yangmingshan in Taipei, the legend of the “Ghost Elevator” tells of an elevator that presses buttons for a non-existent floor.
The entire building is designed in a reversed Bagua (eight-trigram) layout, said to “gather yin energy rather than yang”—anyone with knowledge of Feng Shui would frown upon seeing the blueprints.
The rule among students is: when riding the elevator alone, do not look in the mirror and do not count the floors. If the elevator stops but the doors do not open, retreat to a corner and wait for it to move on its own.
