Cameron Highlands · The Old Road Through the Tea Plantations

Cameron Highlands · The Old Road Through the Tea Plantations

Cameron Highlands was developed by the British as a hill station, its valleys laid out with tea plantations, fog drifting from the corner of the road across the surface.

Drivers who go up the mountain have all heard the same account: in the fog an old road with no markings suddenly appears, looking like a shortcut, but if you turn into it you cannot drive out of the valley.

So the local rule is: take the main road up the mountain, and rather than risk it, stay behind a slow vehicle.
