Sunshine City, Ikebukuro · The Prison That Was Demolished

When Sunshine City in Ikebukuro was finished it was the tallest building in Asia. A prison once stood on the site, and that is usually how the story opens.

In the telling, late at night from the high observation deck you can see lights on a floor where nobody should be standing; staff say the lift sometimes stops between floors for no reason.

None of it has ever been confirmed, but the overtime rule in the building is real: alone in the lift late at night, do not meet your own eyes in the mirror.
