Sendagaya Tunnel · The Second Shadow in the Tunnel
Share
The Sendagaya Tunnel runs under Meiji-dori in Tokyo, a short passage cut for the road works of the 1964 Olympics.
There are many versions of what happens inside. Some say that riding through it, the shadow thrown by your lamp is one more than the number of people there; others say that halfway along you hear a bell behind you and turn to find no car at all.
The most widely told version is this: if you hear your name called in the tunnel, do not turn around.
