Frequently Asked Questions
Everything customers ask us most, answered the way we answer it everywhere else on this site: plainly. If your question is not here, email foolkingluo@gmail.com — we reply within 1 to 2 business days.
Sizing and fit
Will it fit my wrist?
Every bracelet is strung on elastic and made to fit most adult wrists — roughly 15 to 18 cm (6 to 7 inches). There is no clasp: the cord stretches over your hand.
How do I measure my wrist?
Wrap a strip of paper or a soft tape measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Snug, not tight. If you are between sizes, or your wrist is above 18 cm, email us before you order and we will tell you what we can do.
Which bead size should I choose?
Bead sizes vary by stone and are listed on each product page — from 4 mm up to 18 mm. As a rule: 4 to 6 mm sits close to the wrist and stacks well; 8 to 10 mm is the standard everyday size; 12 mm and above is a statement piece and noticeably heavier. If you are unsure, email us a photo of a bracelet you already wear.
Is the photograph the exact bracelet I will receive?
It is the same material and the same construction, but natural stone varies: colour depth, veining and pattern differ from bead to bead. Where a photograph shows more than one strand or more than one size, the product page tells you which one you are buying.
Materials and treatments
Are the stones natural?
Almost all of them, and each product page says exactly what it is — including the cases where a material is not what its name suggests. If a stone is heat-treated, dyed or stabilised, the page says so. Where a material is commonly imitated, we describe what ours actually is.
Will the colour fade or rub off?
Not on heat-treated or natural stone: the colour is inside the stone, not on it. Dye behaves differently — it can lighten in strong sun and can leave marks on skin when the bracelet is wet. We only sell dyed material where the page says so.
Is the gold real gold?
No. On the pieces with gold-tone fittings (South Red agate, honey amber), those fittings are plated metal over a base metal, not solid gold. Plating wears down with perfume, sunscreen and chlorine, so put the bracelet on after you finish getting ready and take it off before you swim.
Can I wear it in water?
The stones themselves are fine — agate, quartz, jade and wood do not mind water. Three exceptions: pearl, cinnabar, and anything with plated fittings should be kept dry. The elastic cord also ages faster in chlorinated water, so removing it for showers and swimming is what makes it last years instead of months.
Caring for your bracelet
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep it away from perfume, hairspray, sunscreen and household cleaners.
Can I use an ultrasonic cleaner?
No. Never on pearl, cinnabar, turquoise or moonstone, and there is no reason to use one on the others: an ultrasonic bath is for metal, not for strung beads.
How should I store it?
Flat, in a soft pouch, away from harder stones and metal. Store pearls on their own, and keep cinnabar away from heat and direct sunlight.
The chart tool and readings
How does the chart tool work?
Enter your birth date, time and city. We cast your four pillars from the true solar time at your birthplace — correcting for longitude and the equation of time, which most online calculators skip — then weigh the five elements and name the ones your chart leans on. It is free, and it takes about thirty seconds.
I do not know my exact birth time.
Tick "time of birth unknown" and the chart is cast at noon, with the hour pillar marked as an estimate. The hour changes a chart more than anything else, so treat hour-pillar conclusions as provisional. If you find the time on your birth certificate later, email it to us and we will recast it at no charge.
What is in the written reading, and how long does it take?
The structure of your chart, the favourable and unfavourable elements, personality tendencies, career direction, relationship patterns, and the decade luck (da yun) periods worked through one by one. It arrives by email as a PDF within 3 to 5 business days.
Do I have to buy a bracelet to get a reading?
No. The reading and the bracelets do two different jobs. The chart explains your structure; a bracelet is a material traditionally worn for the element your chart favours. You can have either one on its own.
Can I return a reading?
Personal readings cannot be returned once delivered. If something is unclear, or you think we read it wrong, email us — we would rather explain it than leave you with a report you do not understand.
Shipping
Where do you ship from, and how long does it take?

Who pays customs and duties?
Orders are shipped DDU (delivered duty unpaid): any import duties or taxes your country charges are the buyer's responsibility. We declare the value of the goods accurately and will not mark a parcel as a gift.
My parcel is lost or damaged.
If it arrives damaged, send us photographs within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you in full. If the carrier confirms the parcel is lost, we replace it or refund you.
Returns

14 days from delivery. The carrier's delivery scan starts the clock.
What condition does it need to be in?
Unworn, unused, with tags, in its original packaging, and with your proof of purchase.
Who pays the return postage?
You do. Please use a tracked service: we cannot refund an item that does not reach us.
It arrived damaged, or you sent the wrong item.
Email us photographs within 14 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You do not need to send it back, and we cover the cost of putting it right.
Where do I send a return?
Email foolkingluo@gmail.com with your order number first, and we will confirm the return. Our address is: Haichao Yayuan Phase II, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.
Payment, data and contact
How can I pay?
Checkout is by PayPal.
What do you do with my birth details?
They are used only to prepare your reading. They are stored with your order, never shared with anyone outside our study group, never sold, and deleted on request. Full details are in our privacy policy.
How do I contact you?
Email foolkingluo@gmail.com. We reply within 1 to 2 business days. Include your order number if your question is about an order — it saves a round trip.
We explain charts; we don't sell predictions. A stone is a reminder you chose, not a promise of an outcome.
