Clear quartz belongs to the Metal element, and the tradition treats it as a neutral base rather than a specific remedy. Every other stone in this collection is chosen for a direction — Wood for growth, Water for flow, Earth for holding on. Quartz has no direction. It takes on and amplifies whatever it is paired with, which is why it is the one practitioners reach for when they are not sure.

It is also one of the hardest stones we carry — harder than jade, harder than obsidian — which is why it becomes the bracelet people end up wearing every day without thinking about it.

These are polished natural quartz beads on strong elastic cord. Colourless, so they never compete with anything else you are wearing.

Why people wear it

• As a first stone. When you cannot decide, clear quartz is traditionally the safe answer. It is the base, not the direction.
• To stack. This is the classic pairing stone. Worn next to aventurine, obsidian or amber, the tradition says it amplifies what is already there.

Why buy a clear stone instead of a coloured one?

Because it is the neutral one. A coloured stone is chosen for a direction — growth, flow, protection. Quartz has no direction, so it is the one that can sit beside anything. If you already wear a bracelet, this is the one that goes with it.

Is clear quartz just glass?

No, and there is an easy way to tell at home. Glass takes on the warmth of your hand almost immediately and often shows tiny round bubbles inside. Quartz stays cool noticeably longer and its internal lines, if it has any, are sharp rather than round. Ours is natural stone.

Which wrist should I wear it on?

Traditionally the left wrist draws energy in and the right wrist sends it out. With quartz it genuinely does not matter — it is the neutral stone, and there is no wrong answer.

Does it scratch, or go cloudy over time?

Quartz resists everyday scratching better than most stones here. It does not go cloudy on its own — that is usually a build-up of hand cream, sunscreen or perfume. A wipe with a soft dry cloth once a week keeps it clear.
